WOODBURY, Minn. (WCCO) — Each week, WCCO This Morning is rewarding a hard-working, dedicated parent who loves what they do.
Angela Davis went to Woodbury to surprise this week’s winner, who is balancing the life of fatherhood with the schedule of a student.
Tim Meyer was nominated by his wife, who said she is blown away by how well he’s adjusted to taking care of their newborn.
Meyer is a college student who takes classes online by day, and works full-time at night for UPS. But he’s also a proud father around the clock to his little girl Luciana.
When asked what his favorite part about being a father is, Meyer joked, “The cute outfits.” He added, “The reciprocal interaction I get from her is great, too. That’s what I look forward to now, coming up here pretty soon — the talking, the walking around, the playing.”
Meyer’s wife Leticia Meyer said he’s a big help with all the chores at home.
“And he helps with washing cloth diapers, which is a big deal. Most fathers don’t help with washing those,” she said.
Tim Meyer does it all with a calm, mellow smile.
The Meyers are getting a much needed date night. Tim won two tickets to a Minnesota Wild game.
Each week, we select a new Just 4 You Parent, so keep those entries coming. If you know a busy parent, grandparent or guardian who goes above and beyond, nominate them by filling out this nomination form.
